The “Seven Sources” Project. Agroforestry as a Model for Sustainability

At Degli Azzoni Wines, we believe that sustainability is not just a choice but a business model capable of creating value for the planet and future generations.
Seven Sources, our new project, represents a bold investment in environmental practices that restore and preserve the delicate balance of nature.

Why Seven Sources?

Seven Sources is our response to today’s environmental challenges, an agroforestry project that integrates viticulture, biodiversity, and innovation to generate a positive impact on the land.
The name "Seven Sources" reflects the seven inspirations that guide our work, the seven territories involved in the project, and the seven generations from which we come, and to whom we dedicate our commitment.

In collaboration with SATA Studio Agronomico, as part of the VitiSilva program, we have developed a model based on seven key pillars: Climate, Environment, Landscape, Health, Quality, Sustainability, and Biodiversity.

Green Spaces and Biodiversity Corridors

The project spans the territories where Degli Azzoni Wines currently operates, Marche, Tuscany, Veneto, and Trentino—selecting areas of significant environmental, historical, and agricultural value, such as the Sibillini Mountains, the hills of Macerata, the Prosecco DOC zones, the Trentodoc Classico region, and the Pisan Hills.

In each of these regions, we will create perennial green spaces, including biodiversity corridors and vegetative “rooms”, designed to enhance human well-being and support the repopulation of native species. Specific reforestation efforts will establish natural connections between locations, enabling the movement of people and wildlife within a zero-emissions ecosystem.

Seven Sources is a promise, a project that looks ahead while drawing strength from the deep roots of our land. It is our way of merging tradition with innovation, proving that doing business also means taking care of the world around us—a world we strive to leave better than we found it.

These initiatives will improve air and soil quality, allowing us to produce exceptional wines and high-quality products while also providing regenerative spaces for local communities. By promoting low-carbon agriculture, we aim to actively contribute to climate change mitigation. Every step of the project will be monitored and certified, ensuring a measurable and lasting impact over time.
